Specifier Services

This section deals with the wide range of services available to Engineers, Architects, Municipal and Government technical staff and project developers, who are considering the use of StreetPrint in some future project. Also, a new and innovative way of transferring essential technical information through the medium of Web Seminars is introduced, as well as the factory backed Warranty program, and the structure of the Authorized Applicator Network.

Engineering Services

Integrated Paving Concepts makes a wide range of Engineering services available to the Specifier community. The aim being to transfer knowledge and understanding of StreetPrint in general and the coating systems in particular, so that the Specifier will have confidence specifying StreetPrint and be assured that the StreetPrint installation will perform successfully.

These services include the following:

  1. Understanding Coatings and Coating Wear
“StreetPrint Pavement Texturing” treats the surface of Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete by imprinting the asphalt pavement with "grid style" or other styles of depressions to replicate, in relief, the concrete grout depressions common to hand-laid brick or cobblestone, or any other design and coating the imprinted asphalt surface using the StreetBond Surfacing System.

Integrated Paving Concepts manufactures coating specifically designed to be applied to asphalt substrates. These coating products include acrylic resins , cement fortified acrylic resins, epoxy based acrylic compounds, all blended with sand and manufactured fines to provide high wear resistant coatings with non slip finish, in a variety of colors. Depending on the environment in which the StreetPrint project is to be constructed, the best coating system would be a combination of these coating products.

Understanding the coatings and coating wear is essential to selecting the right coating system for the project.

  2. Selecting Coating System
Guidelines for selecting the right coating system for your project are attached to the Specification section of this binder.

  3. Writing good specifications
Sample Specifications are provided in this binder for new StreetPrint projects as well as specifications for recoating existing work.

  4. Incorporating uniqueness into your design
Assistance can be provided to help with incorporating uniqueness into your design through the use of custom templates, logos or freestyle designs. We can also develop custom colors and provide advice on staining and tinting of the surface to achieve a desired look.

  5. Custom designs
We provide a design service using AutoCAD to prepare specific pattern designs.

  6. Layout/pattern orientation
On large or complex projects we provide advice on how to layout the pattern to prevent mis-alignment.

  7. Providing test results for compliance
All our coatings have been tested by independent laboratories to ensure they meet the criteria in the specifications. These results can be provided when requested or downloaded from www.streetprint.com.

  8. Asphalt Mix Design
Recommendations on the best asphalt mix to use on your StreetPrint project can be provided on request. In this binder there is a section on Asphalt Basics, for those who are not familiar with the terminology of asphalt. Also in the Asphalt Basics Section is a graph showing the gradation limits for a typical asphalt suitable for most StreetPrint projects. There may be specific cases where this typical mix would not be suitable. If in doubt, contact Engineering Services, at the 1-800 number below.

  9. Construction Planning
StreetPrint projects require a little more planning than ordinary paving projects. Moving of heavy compaction equipment over printed work is not recommended. Keeping the asphalt surface free of dirt, debris, oil or other contaminants prior to applying the coating is essential. If planning assistance is required Engineering Services, at the 1-800 number below.

  10. Engineering Considerations
Engineering assistance is available in cases where paving and the installation of StreetPrint takes place at the top of retaining walls, on steep side slopes, and on bridge decks where vibration damage is a concern.

Web Seminars

Integrated Paving Concepts provides Technical and Engineering Services to Specifiers via the medium of online web seminars. Web Seminars are an easy to use method of obtaining the required knowledge and understanding of the technical and engineering aspects of StreetPrint to be able to specify StreetPrint with confidence of success.

Web seminars are presented at set intervals throughout the year. Registration for the seminars is done on www.streetprint.com.
