What is StreetPrintStreetPrint is the economical and beautiful alternative to expensive stone, brick, stamped concrete or slate. A revolutionary process, that combines the strength of cement with the flexibility of asphalt through state-of-the-art acrylic/epoxy polymer technology unique to Integrated Paving Concepts. StreetPrint is a decorative paving system that turns asphalt beautiful by imprinting “grid style” or “free-style” depressions into the asphalt surface to replicate the look of hand-laid brick or cobblestone, or to create virtually any design imaginable. The imprinted asphalt surface is coated using the StreetBond Coating System, comprising a combination of cement fortified acrylic resins, epoxy based polymers and a blend of aggregates, which have been specially formulated by Integrated Paving Concepts, Inc. for application on asphalt surfaces, to provide a durable, long lasting color and texture to the asphalt surface. The coating system can be made to match virtually any color. The process is proven world-wide with performance in extreme weather conditions from desert to freezing, and a variety of traffic conditions. StreetPrint has the lowest maintenance costs of any other decorative paving system. On new asphalt, the imprinting process proceeds immediately after the asphalt has been placed and fully compacted, while the asphalt is still in a warm to hot pliable state. On existing asphalt, imprinting is carried out by applying heat to the asphalt surface, using specially designed infra red equipment, to make the upper portion of the asphalt surface pliable enough to accept the imprint of the template. The templates used for creating the imprinted designs in the asphalt are constructed of specially woven wire cable welded to the desired pattern. While the asphalt is warm and pliable, the templates are placed on the asphalt surface and pressed into the asphalt using standard compaction equipment. The templates are then removed and the process is repeated over the entire asphalt surface. The depressions left behind are no deeper than 3/8" (9mm). After imprinting, the StreetBond Coating System is applied to create a beautiful decorative surface, suitable for pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
